Editorial Policy

Review or Pass is written by one independent author, Carlos Valiente. This policy explains how I keep reviews honest, and what I will not do for a vendor, an advertiser, or anyone else.

Independence

I choose which tools to review, what to test, and what to conclude. No vendor, advertiser, or affiliate program directs my coverage or my verdicts. I do not accept payment in exchange for a review, a ranking, or a favorable conclusion.

No paid placements

I do not publish paid placements. A review on this site is not sponsored content, and no position in a comparison is sold. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed clearly on the affected page before you read the content, and this policy will be updated first.

Ownership and paid-preference interests

I do not rank a product in which I have an undisclosed ownership interest or a paid-preference arrangement. If I ever have an ownership interest, a financial relationship, or any arrangement that could favor a product, I will disclose it on the review itself and will not present the product as independently ranked. Today, no such interest exists for any product covered here, and no reviews are published yet.

How drawbacks are handled

Every review names real drawbacks, even for tools I recommend. Drawbacks are not buried at the end or softened into praise. If a limit, cost, or missing feature could change your decision, it belongs in the review, in plain language, near the relevant claim. How I test and what I check is described in the Review Methodology.

Corrections

If I get something wrong — a price, a limit, a feature, or a fact about my own testing — I will correct it promptly, show the updated date on the review, and note what changed where the correction matters. I do not silently rewrite a review to hide an error. If you spot an error, please tell me through the Contact page once contact details are added there, and include the vendor page or other source so I can check it.

What I do not claim

I do not claim testing I did not do, results I did not measure, or experience I do not have. Where a review is based on vendor information rather than hands-on use, it is labeled as a desk review. I do not publish testimonials, scores, or star ratings, and I do not present other people’s opinions as my own testing.
